Don't Cry for Me Argentina

Good evening my fellow reader, today i'd like to post something about song again. Yes, I like to post about music sometime. By the way, I post this music because when I listen this music and findng about the background or the meaning of the music, it is the interesting thing for me. It is a good way to get more knowledge and kill the bored itself. About the music, the name of the song is "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" sung by Madonna. The song itself, well it is a little bit old song. It is recorded on 1976. I give you the background of this song, so you can understand what the meaning of this music due it is have a historical and maybe romantic things to know.

Background :
"Don't Cry for Me Argentina" is a song composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice. It was first recorded by Julie Covington on the 1976 concept album Evita, and was later included in the 1978 stage musical of the same name. Sung by the title character Eva Perón, it appears early in the second act as Evita addresses the crowd from the balcony of the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and features a sweeping melody tied to broad emotional themes of regret and defiance, characteristic of Lloyd Webber's most popular songs. The song shares its melody with "Oh What a Circus" and "Eva's Final Broadcast" from the same show. Rice and Lloyd Webber received the 1977 Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. The song has since been recorded by many other performers. The title of the song comes from an epitaph on a plaque at Evita Peron's grave in the La Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires. The plaque was presented by the city's taxi drivers' union and roughly translates as: "Don't cry for me Argentina, I remain quite near to you.
Evita itself is a musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. It concentrates on the life of Argentine political leaderEva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president, Juan Perón. The story follows Evita's early life, rise to power, charity work, and eventual death. The musical began as a rock opera concept album released in 1976. Its success led to productions in London's West End in 1978, winning the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical, and on Broadway a year later, where it was the first British musical to receive the Tony Award for Best Musical. This has been followed by a string of professional tours and worldwide productions and numerous cast albums, as well as a major1996 film of the musical starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas. The musical was revived in London in 2006, and on Broadway in 2012. The show is being revived in the West End once again in 2014 at the Dominion Theatre.
And for the lyrics is :
Don't Cry for Me Argentina
By : Madonna

It won't be easy, you'll think it strange
When I try to explain how I feel
That I still need your love after all that I've done

You won't believe me
All you will see is a girl you once knew
Although she's dressed up to the nines
At sixes and sevens with you

I had to let it happen, I had to change
Couldn't stay all my life down at heel
Looking out of the window, staying out of the sun

So I chose freedom
Running around, trying everything new
But nothing impressed me at all
I never expected it to

Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance

And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired

They are illusions
They are not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me

Don't cry for me Argentina

Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance

Have I said too much?
There's nothing more I can think of to say to you.
But all you have to do is look at me to know
That every word is true
So, from the song above, we can see a historical thing and also a romantic thing for me I think. This song is sung with a little bit of British accent, so it looks more sophisticated. I hope you get more knowledge after know about this song. Okay, that's all about a simple post about a song named "Don't Cry for Me Argentina", I'm out and thank you.

Another Day in Paradise

Good evening and gefeliciteerd zaturdag my friends. I'm back and I just post a simple thing for today. Today I want to post about song. Yeah, I'm bored at home and when I listen this song, it give me an idea to wrote about this song hehe. Well, this song is the old song, maybe at your parents generation, not in our genereation (I mean in my generation), but this one is nearly close in my generation. The name of the song is "Another Day in Paradise". This song sung by Phil Collins, a British singer. Collins famous with his group band named "Genesis". The song of "Another Day in Paradise" itself published on 9 October 1989 from the album "...But Seriously" and this song become the most popular on that year. Lets see the meaning of this song by from the lyrics or by the Collins perspective. The meaning of the song is simple. This one the meaning of this song : "Collins sings the song from a third-person perspective, observing as a man crosses the street to ignore a homeless woman, and he implores listeners not to turn a blind eye to homelessness because, by drawing a religious allusion, "it's just another day for you and me in paradise". Collins also appeals directly to God by singing: "Oh lord, is there nothing more anybody can do? Oh lord, there must be something you can say?" And also, the personnel of this song are :
- Phil Collins  – keyboards, vocals, drums
- David Crosby – vocal
- Leland Sklar – bass
- Dominic Miller – guitars
Alright, that's all about the meaning or the personnel and now, I'll give you the lyrics of this song. Hopefully you can hear and sing this song later on.

Another Day in Paradise
By : Phil Collins

She calls out to the man on the street
"Sir, can you help me?
It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep,
Is there somewhere you can tell me?"

He walks on, doesn't look back
He pretends he can't hear her
Starts to whistle as he crosses the street
Seems embarrassed to be there

Oh think twice, it's another day for
You and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you,
You and me in paradise

Think about it

She calls out to the man on the street
He can see she's been crying
She's got blisters on the soles of her feet
She can't walk but she's trying

Oh think twice, it's another day for
You and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you,
You and me in paradise

Just Think about it

Oh lord, is there nothing more anybody can do
Oh lord, there must be something you can say

You can tell from the lines on her face
You can see that she's been there
Probably been moved on from every place
'Cos she didn't fit in there

Oh think twice, it's another day for
You and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you,
You and me in paradise

Oh think twice...

Okay, that's all about the song named "Another Day in Paradise" sung by Phil Collins. For me, this song is easy to listen and I love the rhythm and the lyrics is also quite good. That's all for today, for this simple post. Bye.
