This poem is the thing that me and my friends discussing about with our lecturer, Mr. Lambok. The name of the poem is 'Red Rose". Before I tell you about that poem, let's discuss furthermore about this poem. This poem is originally from Scotland by Robert Burns. Burns's make this poem in 1794 and the genre of this poem is romantic. This poem tell a story about a man that separated a long miles with his beloved girl. The man express his feeling about how he miss her so deeply. That's about the overview of the poem, now I give you the poem so you can see and maybe learn from this poem.
Red Rose
By : Robert Burns
O my Luve is like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June;
O my Luve is like the melody
That’s sweetly played in tune.
So fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
I will love thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only luve!
And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my luve,
Though it were ten thousand mile.
After you see the poem above, you can see that this poem is using an old English. This poem is express someones feeling so deeply and express of miss or love someone wholeheartly. We can learn or see from this poem that we must love the person that we love seriously, even it is separated by distance for a thousand mile.
